Graduated from the Painting Department at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, where he currently teaches. In 1987, he defended his diploma in painting in the studio of Prof. Józef Hałas.
He is inspired by German Expressionism of the 20th century. There are also evident interests in primitive art, especially African art. Deliberately maintaining an outsider’s stance, his works exhibit a distance from the achievements of civilization.
